Ah Boys To Men 4 Kena Called Back

Yeah, I laughed and laughed watching this Ah Boys To Men 4 - Kena Called Back, the fourth installation where the comedy and jokes are still equally good compared to its predecessor. Ah Boys To Men 4 (ABTM4)  sees the return of the army boys as they are called back for in-camp training under the Armoured Formation of the Singapore Armed Forces.

After completing their full time service stint,  Lobang, Aloysius, Sergeant Ong, and Kent Chow were busy with their respective careers as civilians were called back for in-camp training in SAF Armour unit. Hilarious situations happen when they have to juggle between work and their duties as operationally-ready national servicemen.

I went to the press conference of ABTM4 where the casts were there. Director Neo said that they had been through hardships and setbacks to  make this film. The original budget for the movie was $2.5mil, but they had exceeded it by $700,000. "Our biggest challenge during the filming was the weather. It was hard to predict and the  military has very strict rules stating no trainings should be done if it's too hot or humid, limiting our filming hours," he said.
There are also new challenges for the Ah Boys where Joshua Tan was instructed to put on weight, "Lobang King" is now a family man, "Ipman" got a change of fate this time as the director had arranged for him to be surrounded by girlfriends. Check out the movie for more new challenges of the Ah Boys!

There are a few new casts of ABTM4 such as Ryan Lian, Hafiz Aziz, Kishan and Apple Chan.  Hafiz Aziz, who made a name on the internet, said it is a fresh attempt for to participate in Jack Neo's movie.

ABTM4 sees the female addition to its main casts, Hong Kong-based actress Apple Chan, playing a lieutenant in the Armour unit. Apple Chan said she comes from a family of Thai boxing enthusiasts, which influenced he to love these extreme sports since young. Although with a strong martial arts foundation, she still suffered injuries during the filming. "There was a scene where I turned and caught the helmet that Rylan Lian threw over. It looks rather easy on screen but the fact is my whole right arm was bruised the next day after being hit by the helmet," she said.
