The month of October, is the most exciting month for fear and horror! Halloween is just around the corner and in conjunction with the upcoming Halloween celebration, Sunway Lagoon has unleashed the Night of Fright 5! I have been attending Night of Fright every year since it's started and this year will definitely be scarier, spookier and more exciting than the previous Night of Fright event.
Night of Fright 5 opened its gates of horror with the flag off of its Nights if the Undead Run. More than 1300 participants ran for their lives to the finishing lines by completing obstacles such as Outbreak, Spider Web and Survivor at various stations. The official opening ceremony of Night of Fright 5 event started after the run finished and tons of performances by ghouls and monsters can be enjoyed by the public!
The Night of Fright comes with 8 haunted houses, 5 scare zones, 11 thrill rides and 4 show stages! I was having a hard time to finish all of the activities on that night. The Scream Park has the most people lining up and it take more than an hour to finally get into the Scream Park which has two of the haunted houses (The Ghostbusters Adventure LIVE! and Pontianak VS Pocong)
Trill rides are fun especially when ride at night. I was able to sit on the Pirate's Revenge Ship, Roller Coaster and Tomahawk! The streets are filled with monsters, ghouls, zombies and ghosts! They have sneak up on me several times and it really does spook me out especially the environment was smoky with horror sound played throughout the park!
After playing for hours, we were hungry but since there are food street available in the park, we were able to keep our tummy filled. Jipangi, Subway, Mr. Churros, Fuel Shack and many more are available and the price are decently affordable. We tried the mini Jipangi and Cheesy Fries from Fuel Shack. All the food are freshly made upon ordering and still hot from the oil frying!
I had so much fun exploring the park and I don't think I managed to tried all of the activities! I get spooked out in the Horrorwood Studios and Island of Dolls! But this year event was much better than the last year and I am looking forward on going to Night of Fright 6 next year!
Night of Fright 5 comes to life at 7.30pm to 11.30pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7th to 31st October 2017. The tickets are priced at RM64. You can get the tickets online or at the ticketing booth.
