Sushi King 100th Outlet Launch at AEON Shah Alam

Sushi King, as the name implies is the king and pioneer of conveyor (kaiten) belt Japanese restaurant proudly launches its 100th restaurant in the new AEON Mall Shah Alam

Sushi King has been in operation for more than 20 years in Malaysia, shows the acceptance of Malaysians to try new taste. Thus, this encourages Sushi King to continue efforts to ensure food quality improvement, advancement of staff development and also the on going application process of Halal certification from Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM).

Founder of Sushi King and Executive Chairman of Texchem Resources Berhad, Tan Sri Dato' Seri (Dr.) Fumihiko Konishi remarked that this is a significant milestone since the very first outlet opened in 1995 in Kuala Lumpur. 

"Smiling, Served Fresh" is the slogan of Sushi King, and Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr. Konishi said that this 100th outlet will move Sushi King to grow ever more, with the aim to make quality, affordable Japanese cuisine available to all Malaysians.

I am glad to be invited to this grand opening where guests were treated to an authentic Japanese launch ceremony. I enjoyed the intriguing showcases of the Japanese culture such as a magnificent Taiko Drum performance, Traditional Japanese 'Soran Bushi' dance and Mochitsuki Ceremony.

Japanese Taiko Drum (a traditional Japanese instrument) was performed beautifully with much vigour. 

Satisfaction is written everywhere with their smiling faces as they give a final bow to guests. Magnificent and hats off to this talented group!

Sushi King's 100th Outlet in AEON Mall, Shah Alam is big, spacious and brightly light with soothing pink lightings.


"Sushi King prides itself in only offering the best quality Japanese cuisine with the finest ingredients imported directly from Japan, Norway and others where the respective countries are known for their specific food ingredients to create the perfect Japanese dish," Tan Sri Dato' Seri (Dr.) Fumihiko Konishi said.

Fried mochi - two types of flavours, Pandan and Durian. The durian mochi is so addictive to me, its a wow! Must try for durian lovers.

"Texchem Group plans to explore new markets with the opening of a coffee-shop chain with a Japanese concept, and we target to start the operations by the end of this year" Tan Sri Dato' Seri (Dr.) Fumihiko Konishi added during the press conference Q&A session with media.
