Entopia Butterfly Farm, Teluk Bahang, Penang

Butterfly Farm in Penang has been around for a very long time, starting in year 1982, therefore about 40 years! But this Butterfly Farm has since been renovated and upgraded and reopened to public after the Covid pandemic. Now there are not only butterflies and insects only display but many other features such as interactive activities.

I was impressed by the first view as I entered, where we can have our nice photos taken. 

But the most interesting activity for me here is this 'Vita Nova'

At Entopia here, they said "Come and celebrate 'Vita Nova' with us. 'Vita Nova' is Latin for new life. Extract from Entopia website: "How do we do it? By releasing newly-emerged butterflies, witnessing their very first flight, and watching them dance gracefully in our enchanting aviary. This one-of-a-kind experience will guarantee to be the highlight of your day! " So here at Entopia, it was a unique experience to release the newborn butterfly that has hatched out of the pupae and see them fly into the air! Yes! a not to be missed moment. Oh yes, the Vita Nova is at main entrance at 10am - 11am on Monday to Sunday.

There are waterfalls and many different species of plants. But the most awesome scenes are where we can see colorful butterflies flying among us. One butterfly even rested and sat on my hat, I am ecstatic!

Me being an old lady, not a booming flower am honored to have this butterfly on my hat. Thank you butterfly for this golden moment. 

How many butterflies can you count in this photo?

 This whole visit takes about one hour for us to walk around and explore the many mysteries and caves. There are some very interesting underground creatures inside dimly lit caves.
