Shell Out Seafood Restuarant @Kota Damansara

Get ready to to use all ten fingers to splash and wisp all over yourself with seafood. All the food is just poured on the table for you, how's that? You are allowed to draw, write on anywhere (except tables) in the restaurant with a marker pen given! Graffiti lovers, this is the place for you! Great!

Shell Out opened in 2013 at Kota Damansara, Kuala Lumpur. A seafood restaurant with tasty secret ingredients sauce and the first Louisiana Cajun style restaurant in Malaysia. Thank you Living social for making this review of Shell Out Restaurant possible.

The minute we step into Shell Out Restaurant, we can feel it offers a different kind of concept of seafood dining. It is spacious, decorated with fishing nets, tables with tissue paper roll, special paper table cover and plastic aprons. No plates, knives or forks and spoons! No cutleries!

How to order? Mr. Jeremy, Floor Manager, is super friendly and gave a thorough explanation and recommendations. First, Step 1, with the heading  on the menu "Get Down and Dirty", choose the seafood we want from Crabs, King Prawn, Scallops, Clams (lala), Octopus or Crawfish (Yabbies) or King Crab legs. 
Step 2, the type of  sensation, meaning the type of sauce,or no sauce.  Step 3 is to choose how spicy we want it from Mild, Medium or OMG. Step 4 is the Add-On such as broccoli, Corn on cob, potato of sausage which has the price on the side. 

There is a menu for fried stuff such as soft shell crab, chicken wings, shishamo fish, silver promfret, potato wedges, sweet potato fries, cajun fries, calamari rings and others. Lastly, of course is the drinks under the heading of Cheers and Thirsty? The menu comes in a small booklet of 4 pages only, very simple and easy to flip through.
After ordering, and while waiting, it is time to put on this special Shellout apron. Cool!
Big scallops which cost RM24.90 for 6 pieces arrived first. It was soft, succulent and juicy. Highly recommended!
There are no plates! so the food was just poured on our table. Look, the big scallops that I ordered came and just poured onto our table. 

The waiter pouring the out our Crab Combo from Living social voucher which cost RM92. This combo consist of 2 pieces of crab, 2 mussels, tiger prawns, broccoli, potato and corn.

 The sauce we took was Shell Bang which has a combination of Lemon pepper and Butter Garlic. This is their specialty and a must try as Mr. Jeremy says there is also a special secret ingredient added. Know what. I was actually eating alot of the Broccoli! It was full of flavour because it was soak thoroughly with this Shell Bang sauce! Delicious.
There is a pail given for us to put in the shells and used tissues. Well, eat it anyway you want. Important thing, the  taste is fabulous.

This Living Social voucher Crab Combo comes with the sweet potato fries. This is the healthier version of normal potato fries. Definitely another not to be missed side order.
After having a sumptuous, satisfying dinner, now our brain can start working and creative juice starts following.  

It is time to enjoy showing some talent and stamp your mark around. I felt a bit of guilt, as we were taught in school not to write on walls, chairs as it is considered vandalism. Here you are supplied with a marker pen for you to show your talent, hehe.

Shell Out is restaurant worth checking out. Food such as crabs, gaint scallops, yabbies and sweet potato fries tastes fabulous and not to be missed.
