Jade Belt Beach, Hainan Island tour Part 3

Jade Belt Beach  [玉帶灘]. Boao, in Qiong Hai is a natural landscape of beaches and cute small islands. This Jade Belt Beach is where the three rivers of Wanquan, Jiuqu and Longgun flow into the South China Sea, forming a long narrow golden beach separating the rivers from the sea.

The jetty is a near the Asian Boao Forum building.

We need to take a 10 mins boat ride to the island

Upon reaching the island, we are surrounded by vendors canvasing for business.

The beach is full of  this sand scooters zipping and waving around. The noise and sound can be loud and air dusty. Anyway, it is very windy on this beach.

A ride on this sand motor scooter cost RMB 60-80 for two. Make sure you bargain for it as you can be ripped off by them! The ride takes you round the long narrow beach with stops for taking photos.

There are souvenir stalls and fruit stalls along the beach.

This beach is 8.5 km long and width ranges from 10 m to 500m wide. Walk around to discover certain areas with a nice view and different angles for photography with the tiny islands.

I took a 4 days 3 nights Hainan Island tour package (Haikou, Qiong Hai, Sanya) from Malaysia which costs RM1988 inclusive of air flight, hotels, entrance and boat rides and meals.
Below are some other destinations in Hainan Island that I have blogged about:

1. Yetian Ancient Village (with video inside)
2. Movie Town Haikou
