Vivo X60 Pro's short film 'The Incident' By Award winning Director Chong Keat Aun @ GSC 1 Utama

Vivo Malaysia debuts 'The Incident' shot with vivo X60 Pro's mobile. Fantastic and awesome to me! Wow, no more heavy huge camera for crew during shooting of a film. Very inspiring to me too, as an amateur You tuber who is interested in making videos.

This premiere by vivo Malaysia was attended by the entire cast of 'The Incident' at Golden Screen Cinemas, 1 Utama on the 31 March 2021 with full compliance of SOP. This short film aims to inspire Malaysians during these challenging times and to shine a light of hope despite of the uncertain circumstances. Inspired by a true story in this testing times of a single mother caring for her son after the demise of her husband during the pandemic. This short film is shot with vivo's latest brand professional photography, the vivo X60 Pro, co-engineered with ZEISS lens.

Chong Keat Aun, the film’s director and recipient of the Golden Horse Award for Best New Director, said, “It is heartening to see Malaysians helping one another amidst a new normal which has yet to precede us. We look forward to a new day with a renewed light of hope. This has been our source of inspiration for the film and we wanted to depict a story which is true to Malaysians in these times. Through the vivo X60 Pro, we were able to bring this idea to life and it truly marks a new era for budding filmmakers who are looking to unleash their creativity and share it with the world.”

The vivo X60 series was launched on 22 March 2021 and showcases an impressive range of features which could be seen throughout the film. From the steady shots, all thanks to the X60’s Gimbal Stabilization 2.0 feature, or the scenes shot during the night which puts the Extreme Night Vision 2.0 feature to the test, the vivo X60 Pro came up tops by producing crystal clear shots each time and were key qualities in bringing ‘The Incident’ to life.

Singer Firdhaus Farmizi and songwriter-musician Yise Loo

Alongside the poignant visuals captured by the vivo X60 Pro, the film is accentuated by the melodious soundtrack composed by songwriter-musician Yise Loo and director Chong Keat Aun. The nostalgic medley entitled “疫外之光” or “Light of Hope” is an audio representation of a parent’s struggle during trying times and is sung by Malaysian singer Firdhaus Farmizi. Fondly known as Fei Dao Er in China, Firdaus’ songs gain popularity on Douyin, catapulting the singer to stardom.
